Genealogist to speak at Tuesday meeting

The Wilson County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the assembly room at the Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St.

The immediate past president of the North Carolina Genealogical Society, Victoria Young, a professional genealogist since 2004 who specializes in Southern U.S., lineage applications and forensic genealogy research, will present “Deeds & Probate: A Winning Combination.”

Young will explain how information found in those records can identify relationships and strengthen implied relationships.

The public is invited to the program that will aid genealogy researchers in studying and tracing lines of family ancestral descent and genealogy-related topics. Wilson County Genealogical Society meetings are open to the public.
