Death Notice and Obituaries That Have Been Published in TREES OF WILSON
The dates following the names indicate the issue of Trees of Wilson in which the death notice or obituary may be found. “resolutions of respect,” “in memorial,” and funeral articles, as well as some contributed abstracts, are included. The brevity of the death notices is disappointing. In some cases, the Trees of Wilson editor has been able to find additional information about the deceased in the census, cemetery, and other published records. The same effort was made when the deceased was only identified by her husband’s name as Mrs. ___ ___.
There may have been two different entries for some persons, such as a death notice, an obituary, a funeral description, a resolution of respect, an in memory of, and an abstract. In a few cases there were two persons with the same name.
Children whose first names are not given are alphabetized by their parent’s name.
