The advanced placement U.S. history class at Nash Central High School is making history — quite literally.
Fourteen students who were enrolled in Coach Renny Taylor’s junior level AP history class last year spent a few weeks at the end of the year creating a video documentary of the history of Potter’s Raid on Rocky Mount.
“We still had a few weeks of school after the students took their AP history exams, and I decided that we could use the time to research and make a video rather than just watching videos in the last days of class,” Taylor said. “We decided to research Potter’s Raid because it is a part of Rocky Mount history.”
