George Mewborn will be the featured speaker at the WCGS meeting this month.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th at 6:00 pm in the Assembly Room of Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27893.
Mewborn has been recognized for his preservation efforts and work to educate school children and the public about the Tuscarora tribe’s history and contributions to life in eastern North Carolina.
A graduate of Wake Forest University, Mewborn taught English language arts for 37 years in the Greene and Wayne county school systems and was named teacher of the year in each county.
